Job summary

Grifols, S.A. in the United States seeks an Automation Technician to manage manufacturing equipment lifecycle, support production, and ensure reliable filling lines.

You will troubleshoot, implement improvements, and lead projects in compliance with cGMP and internal standards. Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering and suppliers; coordinate maintenance, validation, FAT/SAT activities, and document technical reports.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in automation/electrical/mechatronics or related tech.
• Fluent English; German or French native with knowledge of another language.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering and production equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and automated systems.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements and GMP documentation.
• Experience coordinating maintenance and external service providers.
• Experience with equipment implementation, qualification, validation and CI.
• Knowledge of Cognex In‑Sight, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, Zenon.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities.
• Propose improvements and provide technical guidance to production teams.
• Serve as SME for modification, optimization, and lifecycle maintenance of hardware/software.
• Maintain and monitor the lifecycle of production equipment.
• Ensure cGMP compliance and proper documentation; maintain records.
• Ensure reliable operation of filling lines; supervise maintenance and calibration.
• Coordinate design, testing, qualification, and validation with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and support engineering projects within budget.
• Support incident resolution and regulatory compliance.
