Job summary

SKAN US, Inc., a world leader in pharmaceutical isolators, based in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our US facility. This role reports to the Retrofit Business Director and focuses on commissioning, qualification, and validating automated systems.

You will collaborate across teams to ensure GMP compliance, troubleshoot PLC/HMI issues, and assist with installation and change control documentation. Travel 50–60% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming, Engineering, or related field with 1–5 years of experience.
• In lieu of education, 5 years of experience qualifying equipment systems and PLC programming.
• Experience with SKAN isolators and processes preferred.
• Experience in executing test protocols for automation software and control hardware.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, qualification, and validation of automated systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to ensure seamless operations.
• Troubleshoot automation hardware and software issues including HMI and networking.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure GMP/regulatory compliance.
• Assist with equipment installation following wiring schematics through isolator sections and electrical cabinets.
• Support the Service team on automation questions related to SKAN equipment.
