Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Engineering Associate to support planning, design, permitting and construction of capital water and wastewater projects in New York State. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, contractors and consultants to deliver projects safely, on schedule and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include construction oversight, design reviews, permit coordination, field inspections and tracking metrics against budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 0-3 years of related engineering or project management experience in water/wastewater or environmental engineering.
• Hydraulic modeling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, design and delivery of capital improvement projects.
• Ensure standards are incorporated into design specifications.
• Review submittals and calculations for PFAS treatment systems.
• Coordinate permit applications with local staff and agencies.
• Conduct on-site field inspections during construction.
