Job summary

Veolia seeks an Engineering Associate to support planning, design, permitting and construction of capital water and wastewater projects, with an immediate focus on PFAS treatment systems across the New York Business Unit (Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Tioga and Westchester).

Under guidance of senior engineering staff, you will coordinate with Engineering, Operations, contractors and consultants to deliver projects safely, on schedule and in compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering.
• 0-3 years of related engineering or project management experience.
• Hydraulic modeling experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, permitting and construction of capital water and wastewater projects.
• Coordinate Engineering, Operations, contractors and consultants.
• Provide construction oversight and inspection services.
• Review PFAS treatment submittals (design drawings, specs, calculations).
• Coordinate environmental and health department permit applications with local staff.
• Track project metrics, budgets, and schedules against approved budgets.
