Job summary

Watco is hiring for a Pettibone / Forklift Operator in Houston to support daily transloading and site operations. You will operate heavy equipment, transfer cargo between modes, and work outdoors under varying conditions to ensure reliable site performance.

Starting pay ranges from $23 to $25 per hour DOE, with day shifts and holidays as needed. Valid TWIC and driver's license are preferred and training is provided for safety and operational competencies.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience operating Pettibone and/or forklift preferred.
• Pass classroom and field evaluation demonstrating competency on the equipment.
• Familiarity with cargo types and safety hazards related to equipment and pedestrian safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate Pettibone and forklift safely to move bulk materials and cargo between trucks, railcars, vessels, and storage areas.
• Perform inspections before and after use and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Participate in daily safety briefs and maintain a clean, organized outdoor work area.
