OWL Services in Des Moines, IA seeks a Petroleum Systems Tester to perform fuel containment and system integrity testing at retail and commercial fueling facilities. You will execute tests, document results, and provide corrective guidance to customers with speed and accuracy.

The role requires 4+ years in petroleum equipment, high school diploma, HAZWOPER 40, and state UST inspector licenses. Travel overnight >50% and on-call availability are expected as part of field operations.

Qualifications

• Education: Requires a high school diploma.
• Experience: 4+ years in petroleum equipment field or related area.
• Certifications: HAZWOPER 40 and state UST inspector licenses before hire.
• Licenses: CDL-B/A with hazardous waste endorsement preferred; manufacturer certifications desired.
• Technical: operates with a mix of field equipment and admin tasks on mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Containment testing, equipment integrity testing and leak detection at multiple sites.
• Inspect sites and equipment, report results and provide corrective guidance.
• Train and direct junior technicians; supervise field teams as needed.
• Maintain safety, inspect PPE, and manage on-site safety and compliance.
• Plan, track and document job data using mobile devices; respond promptly to communications.
