Job summary

Seneca Companies, via its OWL Services Affiliate, is hiring a Petroleum Systems Tester to perform fuel containment and equipment integrity testing across various facilities. You will share unbiased test results with partners and customers, providing corrective advice with speed and accuracy.

The role requires 4+ years in petroleum equipment, HAZWOPER 40, and state UST inspector licenses (CDL-B/A with hazmat preferred). Strong field supervision and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Requires a high school diploma.
• Experience: 4+ years in the petroleum equipment field or related area.
• Licenses/Certifications: HAZWOPER 40 and state-issued UST inspector licenses required prior to hiring; CDL-B or A with hazmat endorsement preferred; Manufacturer certifications for ATG, Submersible Turbine Pumps, leak-detection tech preferred; maintain licenses.

Responsibilities

• Containment testing of fuel systems and leak-detection to identify leaks or prevent future ones; ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Site inspections of equipment and sites per regulations; provide unbiased, fact-based results and correction advice.
• Training and field supervision; coach specialists, laborers and subs; assume safety responsibilities on jobsites.
• Safety management; inspect and maintain PPE; stop unsafe work; inspect equipment per DOT and policy; may oversee a company vehicle.
• Mobile device administration and documentation; plan, track and document data; respond to emails/texts/app alerts; complete safety training on time.
• Other duties as assigned.
