Job summary

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Petroleum Inspector in Martinez, CA to perform sampling and quantity surveys at refineries, terminals, and related facilities. You will inspect equipment, collect samples, verify documents, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Requires high school diploma and 2–4 years of related experience; TWIC, IFIA/TIC, and a driver’s license are preferred. On-site, on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in shore tanks, trucks, rail cars, pipelines, and barges.
• Knowledge of HS&E procedures and related regulations.
• Dependable, able to work independently and communicate professionally with clients.

Responsibilities

• Receives orders and gathers necessary information for commodity movements.
• Ensures equipment is in good operating condition and calibrated.
• Reports to site on time and complies with safety standards.
• Collects samples and gauges shore tanks, vessels, barges, railcars, and trucks.
• Delivers samples to Bureau Veritas laboratory or client facilities for analysis.
