Job summary

Intertek is seeking an Operations Coordinator for the Romeoville, IL area. You will review nominations, write job instructions for inspection and lab teams, and provide timely client updates.

You will also handle invoicing and maintain client relationships while ensuring compliance and contract adherence. The role requires 2+ years in an inspection environment, petroleum/chemical inspection knowledge, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in an inspection company.
• Knowledge of petroleum and chemical inspection procedures.
• Understanding the business requirements of the client.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage nominations and assignments from clients for a specific branch.
• Single point of contact for business related to that branch/region.
• Record nominations into job orders and maintain records with unique identifiers.
• Review instructions for potential issues related to operations, ethics or compliance.
• Act as decision-maker on issues involving client nominations/assignments in the region.
• Coordinate with client to obtain detailed instructions and relay information to Intertek personnel.
• Inform Corporate Contract Administrator at Houston Headquarters of contractual issues.
• Maintain flow of communication among involved parties and manage services requested.
• Ensure accurate reporting and documentation for billing and auditing.
• Maintain geographic awareness of Intertek locations and capabilities.
• Coordinate with corporate to develop marketing plans for customers and visit sites.
• Perform dispatcher and branch sales duties within 25% of time.
• Conduct annual performance appraisals for supervisory personnel.
