Job summary

CGI (Coastal Gulf & International) seeks a field inspector to perform routine sampling and measurements at terminals, refineries, ships and barges, ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will handle safety procedures, prepare reports, and travel as required.

The role involves working in refinery and marine environments with heavy emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork. High school diploma or equivalent and a valid TWIC card are required; IFIA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service skills and communicate clearly.
• Driver’s license with clean record required.
• TWIC card required; IFIA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take product measurements and samples; perform calculations and reports.
• Verify accuracy of measurement equipment and maintain cleanliness of tools.
• Perform visual inspections of tanks, including confined spaces and safety procedures.
• Work safely around hazardous materials and follow MSDS guidelines.
• Attend training and pass examinations in petroleum, chemical, and gas inspection procedures.
• Be prepared for on-call assignments and travel as needed.
