Job summary

SGS is seeking a laboratory analyst to perform bench analyses and generate reports on crude oil, fuels, and petrochemicals. You will maintain instruments, prepare solutions, and follow strict safety procedures in a fast-paced lab environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, an associates degree in science preferred, and at least 1 year of lab experience. Knowledge of ASTM methods for crude assays is a plus and commitment to SGS standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in science preferred.
• 1 year lab experience preferred.
• For Crude Assay Technician: experience with crude oil assay distillation per ASTM methods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench laboratory analysis and report results.
• Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Produce accurate laboratory reports and documentation.
• Adhere to SGS policies and quality standards.
• Assist with routine duties as assigned.
