Job summary

SGS, a global leader in inspection, testing and certification, seeks a Laboratory Analyst to perform bench analyses on crude oil, fuels, petrochemicals, LPG and LNG products. You will operate gas chromatography and other equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety while mentoring technicians.

The role requires a degree in chemistry or related science (or 1 year lab experience), a valid driver’s license, and TWIC. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related science or 1 year lab experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and TWIC are required.
• Familiarity with ASTM standards and laboratory safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analysis on crude oil, fuels, distillates and petrochemicals.
• Operate gas chromatographs and other lab instruments on bench daily.
• Guide technicians and ensure proper training and safety practices.
• Maintain accuracy and report results following SGS standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and adherence to deadlines.
