Job summary

SGS North America Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to perform hands-on analysis of crude oil, fuels, petrochemicals, LPG & LNG, and related products in a laboratory setting. The role requires adherence to safety and reporting standards and the ability to guide technicians as needed.

The successful candidate will operate gas chromatography equipment, maintain accuracy under pressure, and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines while complying with SGS ethics and integrity standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related science or equivalent experience.
• TWIC credential is required.
• Knowledge of ASTM standards is required.
• Ability to handle chemical, petrochemical and petroleum products.
• Color vision to differentiate colors accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analyses (bench work).
• Maintain awareness of laboratory safety and reporting techniques.
• Guide and train Laboratory Technicians, possibly supervising duties.
• Operate Gas Chromatograph and other lab equipment.
• Maintain accuracy and handle multiple projects with deadlines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
