Job summary

SGS is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to perform hands-on chemical analysis of crude oils, fuels, and petrochemicals. You will operate gas chromatographs and related lab equipment while ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely reporting.

The role requires a chemistry degree, TWIC, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You will mentor technicians and support routine lab duties daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related science preferred; minimum one year direct transferable lab experience.
• TWIC credential required.
• Experience with ASTM standards and lab safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analysis hands-on at the bench.
• Adhere to laboratory safety and reporting techniques.
• Provide guidance to Laboratory Technicians as needed.
• Operate Gas Chromatograph and other laboratory equipment.
• Maintain dependable daily presence and contribute to department success.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
