RadNet is seeking a PET Technologist to join our radiology team in California. You will operate PET scanners and related equipment, ensuring high-quality images and adherence to safety protocols while delivering compassionate patient care.

The role requires ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification with a State Nuclear Medicine License, venipuncture and BLS, plus prior diagnostic imaging experience preferred. Competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
• Venipuncture certification/permit.
• BLS certification.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex specialized tasks operating PET scanners and related equipment following prescribed radiation safety procedures and company protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast if needed.
• Guide patients through exams by clearly explaining steps and addressing questions.
• Monitor patients’ well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues as needed.
• Safeguards patient information and medications per company policy.

You Will

• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of PET scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and company protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast if needed.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• Must have current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.

Pay Rate: $50.00 - $68.00 / Per Hour
