Job summary

A healthcare provider in Pasadena is seeking a PET Technologist to perform specialized tasks associated with PET imaging. The successful candidate will produce high-quality diagnostic images, assist radiologists, and ensure exceptional patient care. ARRT(N) certification and one year of diagnostic imaging experience are preferred. Responsibilities

• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with PET scanners.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care.
• Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures.
• Guide patients through procedures, answering questions.
• Monitor patients’ well-being during exams.
• Respond to physician questions regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

You Will:

• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of PET scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and company protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast if needed.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:
