Job summary

Hmixray is seeking a PET Technologist to operate PET scanners and related equipment, delivering high-quality diagnostic images and excellent patient care. You will assist radiologists, start IVs, and inject contrast when needed, while explaining procedures and addressing patient questions in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB with state nuclear medicine license, venipuncture and BLS certification, and is typically performed on-site at our California centers.

Qualifications

• Must hold ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with a State Nuclear Medicine License.
• Venipuncture certification/permit required.
• BLS certification required.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate PET scanners and related equipment following safety procedures.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images promptly while ensuring patient care.
• Assist radiologists with imaging, IV starts, and contrast injections as needed.
• Guide patients through the exam process with clear communication.

You Will:

• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of PET scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and company protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast if needed.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• Must have current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
• Must have venipuncture certification/permit.
• Must have BLS certification
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!

Pay Range: $55.00-$60.00/Per Hour
