Job summary

RadNet in Pasadena, California is seeking a dedicated PET Technologist to deliver exceptional patient care and produce high-quality diagnostic images. In this role, you will operate PET scanners, assist radiologists, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.

Candidates should possess current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification, venipuncture certification, and have a passion for patient care. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and more.

Qualifications

  • Current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Venipuncture certification/permit.
  • BLS certification.
  • At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex specialized tasks on PET scanners and related equipment.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures.
  • Guide and monitor patients during exams.

PET Technologist

You Will
  • Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of PET scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and company protocols.
  • Produce high‑quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast if needed.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes‑difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Monitor patients’ well‑being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard any on‑site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have
  • Must have current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.

Pay Range: $50.00– $75.00 per hour
