Job summary

Hmixray seeks a dedicated PET Technologist in Rancho Mirage, California. In this role, you will operate PET scanners, ensuring high-quality imaging while providing excellent patient care. You must possess current ARRT(N) certification, state license, and venipuncture certification. A strong emphasis on patient interactions is essential, coupled with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The position offers competitive pay between $52.00 and $65.00 per hour along with comprehensive health benefits.

You Will:

• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of PET scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and company protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast if needed.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• Must have current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
