Job summary

Petco in the United States seeks a Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services for our customers' pets. You’ll bathe, dry, trim, and style dogs and manage tools with care, prioritizing safety and comfort. A Passion for animals and strong communication help you excel in a busy grooming salon.

Successful applicants may have completed the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or have professional grooming experience, with a high school diploma preferred. Weekend/evening availability is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• Strong grooming knowledge across breeds and styles.
• Good communication and safety awareness in a grooming salon.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, and styling.
• Operate grooming instruments and maintain sanitization of tools.
• Ensure pet safety and comfort while delivering high customer service.
• Train or support trainees in absence of a Grooming Salon Leader.
• Educate owners on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
