Job summary

PETCO Animal Supplies Stores, Inc. seeks a Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services for our customers' pets in a pet-friendly environment.

You will perform bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming and more, while prioritizing safety and welfare of animals. A grooming apprenticeship or equivalent experience is required, plus weekend/evening availability and a passion for pets.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming experience.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and grooming accuracy.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Passion for animals and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
• Operate grooming instruments and maintain equipment.
• Prioritize animal safety and comfort, report concerns to owners and management.
• Evaluate each pet’s needs based on coat, skin and temperament.
• Interact with pet parents, offer grooming recommendations and address questions.
• Educate owners on at-home care and grooming maintenance.
