Job summary

Pet Supermarket is seeking a Shift Lead to support the store management team in daily operations, sales, merchandising, animal care, and policy adherence. You will assist in achieving sales goals while ensuring a high standard of service for pets and their shoppers.

The role requires at least 1 year of retail or customer service experience, a love of animals, and flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year retail or customer service experience.
• Enjoy working with and around animals.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
• Valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and lead the team in driving sales, service, and customer experience to achieve KPIs and store performance goals.
• Prioritize, assign, and delegate daily goals and tasks to the team and ensure proper completion when manager on duty.
• Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in the workplace and communicate effectively via verbal, written, or email.
• Support store management in maintaining store standards, safety practices, and loss prevention.
