Job summary

IPP - Independent Pet Partners in Minnesota is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to influence the performance and behavior of store Team Members under the direct supervision of the Store Manager. It is your responsibility to provide exceptional customer service, help increase store awareness, achieve business results, and assist with operational processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional retail sales experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional managerial experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to be educated about products and services.
• Ability to meet sales targets and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with an exceptional experience.
• Assist the Store Manager in overall store operations.
• Share product knowledge and recommendations to meet customer needs.
• Coach and lead Team Members to achieve sales goals.
• Oversee inventory, replenishment, cycles, transfers, and shipments.
• Organize store events and promotions.
• Interact positively with pet parents in person and via email/text/phone.
• Perform front-end duties and assist with displays.
• Carry out other duties from the Store Manager or Retail Management Team.
