Job summary

Hawaiian Humane Society is seeking a dedicated community resource advisor to support pet owners, provide compassionate guidance, and connect families with resources to keep pets at home when possible.

You will assist with intake, reunifications, and care coordination while working directly with animals and the public to assess needs and pathways, delivering excellent customer service and education.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to accurately perform cash, computer, and paperwork transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patrons at the Pet Kokua Resource Center with compassion and professionalism.
• Process pet relinquishments and lost pet intake, and create animal records in the PetPoint database.
• Coordinate lost & found processes and guide reunifications for families and pets.
• Perform animal handling, vaccinations, microchips, and safety checks as needed.
• Support shelter operations, admissions, and post-adoption care coordination.
