Job summary

Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Animal Care Assistant I for a busy Pet Resource call center. You will handle a high volume of public calls, schedule surrender appointments and provide resources to pet owners, while maintaining accurate records and databases.

Open 7 days a week, you must be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays; shifts include four 10-hour blocks. Prior call center and customer service experience are preferred, bilingual English/Spanish

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year call center experience preferred.
• Dispatcher experience preferred (1+ year).
• Customer service experience required; bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer high volume calls and route to appropriate resources.
• Schedule surrender appointments and provide pet resources.
• Maintain records and databases with accurate information.
• Assist in community outreach and training as needed.
• Work four 10-hour shifts across 5am–3pm and 11am–9pm; may rotate shifts.
