Job summary

NVA Pet Resorts is seeking an Assistant General Manager for the PetSuites Twinsburg resort in Twinsburg, Ohio. You’ll partner with the General Manager to run daily operations, develop the team, and deliver outstanding care for pets and their people.

You will lead culture, drive financial performance, and ensure staffing and training standards are met. This full-time role rewards leadership and hands-on oversight in a busy, pet-friendly resort environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of customer service experience; leadership experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and comfort leading teams in a hands-on environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
• Availability to work up to 45–50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license, current insurance, and a vehicle for pet transport in emergencies.
• Ability to support and influence workplace change and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Model NVA leadership values and coaching team members.
• Lead 1–2 shifts per week as Manager on Duty and ensure staffing and scheduling across shifts.
• Maintain high standards in pet care, facility cleanliness, and safety.
• Address customer concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Support marketing programs, lead generation, and local partnerships.
• Monitor KPIs and budget targets; assist with budgeting and expense management.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and train team members; manage performance.
