Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a General Manager for our PetSuites Westlake resort in Westlake, OH. You’ll own site performance, lead a team, drive guest experiences, and ensure profitability while delivering outstanding pet care.

This hands-on role blends operations leadership with business ownership, focusing on revenue, costs, and a culture of accountability. You’ll develop leaders, manage budgets, and partner with local communities to grow the business.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of management experience with P&L responsibility.
• Strong operational leadership and ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
• Availability to work up to 45–50 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and communicate NVA’s mission, values, and objectives.
• Own resort performance against budget and key metrics including revenue, labor, COGS, expenses, and EBITDA.
• Build and execute sales strategy focused on lead generation, conversion, and retention.
• Hire, onboard, train, and retain a high-performing team across front- and back-of-house operations.
• Ensure operational excellence across safety, pet care, facility standards, cleanliness, inventory, and compliance.
