Pet Paradise is a full-service pet care destination offering resort-style day camp, grooming, veterinary care, and overnight boarding. The Ocala resort in Florida is hiring an Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, lead staff, and partner with the Resort Manager on leadership needs.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or management experience is required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, or animal-care settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the resort by maintaining standards of conduct, cleanliness, and safety.
• Manage resort labor, including creating staff schedules, reviewing timecards, and controlling labor hours.
• Recruit, interview, hire and onboard new resort employees.
• Supervise, train and coach team members on standards, policies and procedures.
• Motivate staff to deliver premier service to pets and their parents.
• Coordinate with regional teams and maintenance for operations needs.
• Support training and development through required courses and programs.
• Document corrective actions and terminations when necessary.
• Maintain inventory, lodging calendars, and lead MOD duties.
• Maintain customer service metrics such as NPS and online reviews.
• Address customer concerns with professionalism and care.
• Develop methods to increase sales and attract new customers.
• Perform opening/closing duties and other tasks as assigned.
• Work five days a week onsite with weekend/holiday coverage.
