Job summary

Pet Paradise in Orlando seeks an Assistant Manager to oversee daily resort operations and staff, while supporting the Resort Manager on a variety of management needs. This role requires open mobility and potential travel as business needs arise.

The position emphasizes strong leadership, staff development, and delivering premier service to pet guests and their parents in a safe, clean, and enjoyable atmosphere. Experience in retail, hospitality, or animal care is valued.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or management experience required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to recruit, train, and motivate staff.
• Able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable around dogs and able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily operations of the resort and staff, ensuring conduct, cleanliness, and safety.
• Managing resort labor including scheduling, timecards, and labor hours.
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new staff.
• Supervising, training, and coaching team members on policies and procedures.
• Delivering premier service to pet guests and their parents in a safe, clean environment.
• Maintaining customer service metrics such as NPS and online reviews.
• Opening/closing duties and other Manager on Duty tasks.
