Job summary

Stanford Health Care seeks a PET/MR Technologist to perform Nuclear Medicine and PET/MRI procedures on patients of all ages under medical supervision. Calibrates radiopharmaceuticals, schedules studies in RIS & EPIC, and supports ALARA safety and quality assurance.

Works with physicians in Nuclear Medicine & MRI to ensure safe, effective operation. Two years of related PET experience required; BLS certification; ARRT/NM or NMTCB credentials favorable.

Qualifications

• Two years of clinical PET experience is required.
• Ability to calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceuticals.
• Knowledge of MRI and Nuclear Medicine safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Assists in instructing the Residents and other technologists.
• Calibrate and draw up radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the camera room.
• Evaluate recorded images for technical quality.
• Formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits.
• Calibrate instruments and review calibration data to detect trends indicating instrument malfunction.
• Monitor supplies and equipment and assist in developing new programs to comply with state and federal agencies.
• Perform a full range of nuclear medicine imaging techniques and measurements used in diagnosis and evaluation.
• Schedule, assign, and lead staff in the section/unit efforts.
