Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a maintenance technician for 12-hour shifts to inspect, adjust, and repair packaging machinery in a plastics environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor cycle times, and support production with quick, safe decisions.

You must have a High School Diploma or GED, basic tools, and the ability to read manuals. Forklift certification is preferred, and a teamwork mindset is essential for success on our Amcor team.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED; forklift cert is preferred.
• Must have own set of basic tools for maintenance work.
• Plastics industry experience is preferred.
• Able to stand, walk, lift, reach, bend, and climb for 12-hour shifts.
• Good reading of technical manuals and math used in maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machines for proper guarding and startup at shift start.
• Perform PMs and document work orders.
• Make minor repairs and adjustments to correct Quality issues.
• Record downtime and assist teams across maintenance and production.
• Follow safety rules and wear required PPE.

Job DescriptionJob Duties:· Must pass LOTO training· Inspect all machines for proper guarding at start of shift· Identify machine priority level at start of shift· Verify machines are running proper cycle times at start of shift· Verify material loading system is not running behind at start of shift and after every break· Check grinders at the start of shift and after every break· Check hydraulic oil level and temperature at the start of shift· Verify all machines are working properly and not slamming at the start of shift· Perform PMs in a timely manner and properly fill out the PM work orders· Make minor machine adjustments and/or repairs to correct Quality issues· Report all parts used immediately so replacements can be ordered in a timely manner· Changeover equipment, startup equipment, and make minor processing adjustments· Will be responsible for recording machine issues and submitting Downtime Report· Provide assistance to Production Assistants, QAs, other Mechanics, Technicians, and EngineerRequirements:High School Diploma or GEDMust have own set of basic toolsPreferably has PLASTICS experienceAble to stand, walk, lift, reach, bend, and climb continuously during 12 hour shiftGood communication and organizational skillsCan read and work from technical manualsCan use math as applied to maintenance workCan follow written instructions with minimal supervisionForklift certifiableWork well with othersPositive moraleAble to make thoughtful well-reasoned decisionsCan pick up and move up to 50 poundsMust follow all Safety behaviors and keep a clean work spaceMust wear long sleeve shirts, pants, steel toe, ear plugs, safety glasses, hard hat, and hair netExperience in one of the following required:INDUSTRIAL ElectricalPnuematicHydraulicEBM , RHB.
