Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Olympia, WA is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist (Client Service Coordinator) to join our team. This part-time or full-time role pays $21-$27 per hour and depends on experience within our competency system.

You will be the first point of contact for clients, greet patients, schedule appointments, and provide emotional support while ensuring compassionate, clear communication in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or front desk is a plus.
• Ability to stay calm and compassionate in emotional situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients with a friendly, professional demeanor as they enter the hospital.
• Respond to inquiries, schedule appointments, and connect clients to the appropriate team member.
• Listen actively and communicate clearly, calmly, and respectfully at all times.
• Assess client needs and triage emergencies as needed (stat vs standard).
• Confirm appointments and provide prep instructions to clients for their pets.
• Offer emotional support and resources to grieving clients when appropriate.
• Serve as liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains.
