Job summary

Tractor Supply’s Petsense by Tractor Supply is seeking a Groom Tech to provide grooming services and maintain a safe, clean salon. The role includes restraining pets during procedures, recommending essential services, and ensuring accurate client paperwork and invoicing.

You’ll interact with pet parents, meet daily targets, and support a fast-paced retail grooming environment. Requirements include 1+ year of industry experience and a High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1+ year of industry-relevant experience.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Professional Certifications: None

Responsibilities

• Collect payment, dispense and label medication, and review discharge paperwork with pet parents.
• Safely restrain/hold pets for wellness procedures including nail trims/grinding, anal gland expression and clipping.
• Make recommendations for services and products for every pet based on lifestyle and canine hygiene.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by disinfecting surfaces and equipment between pets.
• Provide customer service to pet parents by answering questions and guiding them through the salon process.
• Achieve goals set by manager, including dollars per pet, pets per clinic, and product/microchip sales.
• Scan pets for microchips and update pet status in the system.
• Ensure grooming station is stocked and maintained; alert supervisor when supplies are needed.
