Job summary

Blue Pooch Inc. is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented receptionist for our grooming salon. You’ll manage reservations, answer phones and texts, and ensure excellent customer service in person and online.

Daily tasks include taking care instructions, basic computer work, payments, and coordinating with groomers. Prior customer service is helpful; ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work with pets is required. Starting wage depends on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to handle disinfectants and cleaning up after pets.
• Must work well with people and animals.
• Strong attention to detail and good note-taking.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Previous receptionist or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills including MS Word/Excel and Google Docs.
• Experience with reservations/booking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide the best customer service to clients.
• Booking appointments for grooming by email, phone, text and in person.
• Answering phones and emails in response to client questions.
• Taking detailed and thorough notes on all animal care instructions.
• Processing payments.
• Communicating with other team members effectively.
• Daily housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, dusting, organizing etc.).
• Assisting other groomer staff member in any needed tasks.
• Any duties that may be assigned by management.
• Computer work.
• Stocking retail products and keeping up with inventory.
