Animal Clinic East in Walla Walla, WA invites an experienced Pet Groomer to join our veterinary support team. Our hospital features a dedicated, state-of-the-art grooming facility where groomers manage services independently while collaborating with a supportive veterinary team.

This role offers flexible scheduling, base compensation with a 50% commission on grooming services or $17.13 per hour plus tips, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Professional pet grooming experience with a variety of dog breeds and coat types
  • Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards
  • Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Grooming certification is a plus
  • Portfolio and references required

Responsibilities

  • Perform full grooming services including bathing, dryer work, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression
  • Evaluate each pet’s coat and skin condition and communicate grooming recommendations to owners
  • Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations
  • Safely handle pets of various sizes and temperaments during grooming procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at shift end

Animal Clinic East is excited to welcome an experienced Pet Groomer to our growing veterinary support team. We are a full-service practice providing comprehensive medical care alongside professional grooming services, and we take pride in serving pets and their families in our community.

Our hospital features a dedicated,state-of-the-artgrooming facility where groomers have the autonomy to manage their services, build relationships with clients, and work alongside a supportive veterinary team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated groomer who enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Schedule and compensation:
  • Compensation for this role is based on 50% commission on grooming services, or $17.13 per hour worked, whichever is greater plus tips.
  • This is a flexible position with a flexible schedule and general availability needed Monday- Friday.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and other benefits depending on role and location. Pay Range

$17.13 - $17.13 USD
