Job summary

Chewy seeks a data-driven Category Manager to own the Freeze Dried and Air Dried Dog Food categories in a hybrid Florida setting. You will steer end-to-end performance, profitability, and growth, leading pricing, assortment, promotions, and merchandising with a strong emphasis on analytics and vendor partnerships.

You’ll collaborate across marketing, supply chain, and operations to deliver revenue growth and enhanced customer experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in category management, brand management, or similar commercial roles.
• Strong blend of analytical skills, business ownership, and vendor interaction.
• Experience in ecommerce, retail, or related category environments.
• Demonstrated business acumen across pricing, assortment, promotions, and P&L ownership.
• Proven ability to manage vendors across a variety of business sizes (head, torso, and tail).
• Data-driven mindset with a track record of turning insights into action.
• Success operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Own category P&L and performance against sales, margin, and growth targets; manage budgets, forecasts, and corrective action plans.
• Develop and execute strategies across pricing, assortment, promotions, and merchandising.
• Analyze category, brand, SKU, and customer performance to identify growth opportunities, diagnose business gaps, and prioritize investment.
• Build and manage vendor relationships, including negotiations and joint business planning. Lead business review performance and share actionable recommendations.
• Partner cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and operations to deliver results.
• Identify and launch new products or initiatives to accelerate category growth.
• Continuously optimize the customer experience while driving commercial outcomes.
