Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PET/CT Technologist for our Louisville, KY facility. This full-time role performs diagnostic imaging with a focus on PET/CT procedures, ensures patient safety, and collaborates with radiologists and clinic directors to optimize imaging protocols.

Qualified candidates have an Associate’s degree or higher, NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification, CPR, and state licensure as required. Expect a dynamic environment with travel up to 90% and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license if applicable.
• 3+ years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Experience managing relationships with physicians/customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• 90% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Produces high-quality diagnostic images with focus on patient safety and radiation safety.
• Collaborates with ADDs, Radiology/Clinic Directors, and Radiologists on protocols and quality issues.
• Troubleshoots the scanner and peripheral equipment.
• Assists Sales with start-ups and new business as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
