Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PET/CT Technologist at our Louisville, KY facility. You will produce high-quality diagnostic images and ensure patient safety during pre-screening, injections, and radiation safety practices.

The role requires 3+ years in Nuclear Medicine, ARRT(N) or NMTCB, CPR, and the ability to work across multiple sites, with strong communication and organizational skills. Travel up to 90% may be required, and full-time employment is offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• NMTCB or ARRT (N) license where required.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license if applicable.
• 3+ years’ Nuclear Medicine experience.
• Experience managing relationships with physicians and customers.
• Strong communication across levels and quick adaptation.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Produces high-quality diagnostic images.
• Ensures patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications and radiation safety.
• Performs aseptic injection techniques and document procedures.
• Troubleshoots scanner and related equipment.
• Coaches staff and supports PACS, monitors, and coils.
• Assists Sales team with start-ups and new business.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
