Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform PET-CT exams with high-quality imaging, patient preparation, and strict safety practices. You will review physician orders, prep patients, and ensure accurate documentation to support diagnostic accuracy.

Responsibilities include educating patients, maintaining equipment QC, and coordinating with interpreting physicians. This on-site role follows RAM policies and state guidelines, with a regular Mon–Fri

Qualifications

• Graduate of Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology program.
• CNMT or PET certification or ARRT certification in radiology.
• Advanced CT certification required (ARRT or NMTCB).
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality imaging using Nuclear Medicine and CT for PET-CT exams.
• Reviews orders for accuracy and ensures proper prep and documentation.
• Prepares patients, including fasting and pre-procedure testing.
• Follows labeling policy for IV and oral contrast.
• Handles and administers radioactive materials following safety procedures.
• Performs QC and calibration testing for imaging and hot lab equipment.
• Follows safe receipt and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Educates patients and obtains informed consent as delegated.
• Monitors patient condition and notifies staff of changes.
• Selects protocol, positions patient, and adjusts factors as needed.
• Obtains scans, processes images, and reviews with interpreting physician.
• Enters patient charges into the billing system.
• Performs waived lab procedures (e.g., glucose testing, iSTAT).
