Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a PET-CT technologist to perform hybrid PET-CT imaging under the direction of a radiologist. The role combines structural and metabolic assessment with the potential for quality control and department training opportunities.

Required are ARRT Radiography or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine certification and CPR within 30 days; two years of Nuclear Medicine or CT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT radiography or NMTCB nuclear medicine certification required; CPR within 30 days.
• Two years' Nuclear Medicine or CT experience preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate cross-section anatomy and safe handling of radioactive tracer.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET-CT imaging under radiologist supervision.
• Assist with quality control, patient escort services, and training.
• Support ACR accreditation maintenance and department initiatives.
