Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a PET/CT Technologist for a temporary/PRN daytime shift (7:00 am - 5:00 pm). The role involves operating PET/CT scanners to produce diagnostic images, guiding patients, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include patient prep, positioning, image acquisition, RIS documentation, and adherence to HIPAA. Candidates must be NMTCB/ARRT Nuclear Medicine, AMA radiography graduates, and have CPR certification.

Qualifications

• NMTCB or ARRT registered technologist in Nuclear Medicine, current and in good standing.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiography.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform PET/CT procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET/CT imaging procedures with appropriate patient prep and positioning.
• Explain procedures to patients and guide them through exam steps.
• Operate PET/CT scanners with attention to safety and accuracy.
• Maintain patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and departmental safety regulations.
• Perform quality control procedures and participate in protocol updates.
