Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a PET/CT technologist responsible for performing PET/CT imaging under physician supervision. Responsibilities include patient positioning, dose management, radiopharmaceutical handling, CT contrast administration, and operating radiology equipment and electronic systems.

The role requires ARRT CT certification within 2 years of hire, IV competency, and strong patient education skills. Norfolk, VA-based, with a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ALD Radiologic Sciences or Trade school certificate required.
• ARRT (CT) certification required or CT registry obtained within 2 years of hire.
• IV competency required.
• Experience in PET/CT imaging is expected but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET/CT imaging of patients under physician guidance.
• Position patients for optimal anatomy/pathology visualization.
• Manage radiopharmaceuticals, CT contrast, and IV injections.
• Operate radiology equipment and electronic radiology systems.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and discharge instructions.
• Complete departmental documentation and QA/QA standards compliance.
