Northside Hospital is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine and CT technologist to perform PET-CT imaging, ensuring high-quality results and patient safety. You will review orders, prepare patients, and manage radiopharmaceuticals in a compliant, safe manner.

The role requires CNMT or NMTCB/ARRT certification, ARRT/NMTCB CT certification, and BLS. Expect on-site scheduling Mon-Fri with no weekend requirements and responsibility for QC, calibration, and patient education.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology and/or Radiologic Technology program.
• CNMT or PET certification by NMTCB or ARRT.
• Advanced CT certification with ARRT or NMTCB.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Aufgaben

• Provides high quality imaging using Nuclear Medicine and CT for PET-CT exams.
• Reviews orders for accuracy and ensures proper prep and documentation.
• Prepares patients for PET imaging, including fasting and medication management.
• Follows safety procedures for handling radioactive materials and contrast agents.
• Performs QC and calibration testing on imaging and hot lab equipment and conducts contamination checks.
• Ensures proper receipt and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Educates patients verbally and in writing, obtaining informed consent as needed.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates significant changes.
• Selects equipment protocols, positions patients, and adjusts settings for optimal images.
• Acquires scans, processes images, and reviews studies with interpreting physicians.
