Job summary

Embrace Pet Insurance, a subsidiary of Independence Pet Holdings, is hiring a Claims Adjuster- Associate for a remote US role. You will process pet health claims, liaise with pet parents and clinics, and support multiple departments to ensure timely and accurate claim resolutions.

The role requires at least 3 years in the veterinary field and a High School Diploma or GED. CVT/RVT/LVT licenses are preferred, with a schedule that includes occasional late shifts (4:00pm-8:00pm EST).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician.
• CVT/RVT/LVT licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and settle wellness, illness, and accident claims.
• Calculate coverage amounts accurately and efficiently minimizing errors and processing time.
• Follow up with pet parents and veterinary clinics for additional required information as needed.
• Communicate efficiently with pet parents in response to all phone, email, or web inquiries about claim-related questions in an acceptable time frame as determined by the Claims Leadership Team.
• Achieve internal goals for processing efficiencies set by the Claims Leadership Team.
• Generate new ideas to improve current protocols, customer satisfaction, and service levels.
• Accept personal responsibility for your tasks and actions in the claims department. Follow-through with contacts, claims, and other tasks assigned to you.
