Job summary

Petco is seeking an Assistant Manager in Riverside, CA to lead daily store operations and mentor partners on the sales floor. You will partner with the General Manager to ensure exceptional customer experiences and drive store performance.

You will coach teammates, manage inventory and merchandising, and help with hiring and onboarding. This is a full-time role requiring flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience, including supervisory or management responsibility.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead store partners to deliver outstanding service and build customer loyalty.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of store partners.
• Provide coaching, feedback and recognition to strengthen performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store reflecting Petco’s brand.
