Banfield Pet Hospital in Sunset Corners, FL is seeking a Pet Care Assistant to support the veterinary medical team by preparing treatment rooms, restraining animals, and delivering friendly client service while upholding our Five Principles.

You will assist with in-house lab prep, patient comfort, hygiene, and routine duties, with a competitive hourly pay range of $15.00–$16.71 and a broad benefits package as described.

Qualifications

• Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
• Prepare the treatment room for examinations and set up vaccines, fecals, slides, and supplies.
• Set up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings as allowed by state rules.
• Maintain the Cycle of Service flow and educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans.
• Assist Client Services Coordinator staff as needed.
• Hold or restrain pets during examination, treatment, or inoculation.
• Prepare in-house lab tests (heartworm, FELV, FIV, parvovirus) as allowed.
• Monitor comfort of hospitalized patients; walk, feed, and clean cages.
• Bath and dip pets to treat dermatological conditions as advised.
• Clean the surgical suite and instruments.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness (laundry, dishes, mopping, cages, trash, instrument cleaning).
• Other duties as assigned.
