Banfield Pet Hospital seeks a Pet Care Assistant to support veterinary teams in delivering high-quality care for pets. You will assist with room preparation, patient handling, and routine in-house tests while educating clients on preventive care and wellness plans.

This role emphasizes compassionate service, team collaboration, and adherence to hospital protocols to ensure a welcoming and efficient environment for pets and clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old to perform radiography duties.
• One year of related experience preferred with customer service.

Responsibilities

• Live and exemplify Banfield’s Five Principles within self and team.
• Prepare the treatment room and supplies for examinations.
• Set up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings as allowed by state rules.
• Maintain the flow of the Cycle of Service in position.
• Provide client education on preventive care and wellness plans.
• Assist Client Services Coordinator as needed.
• Restrain pets during examination or inoculation.
• Prepare routine in-house lab tests per state rules.
• Monitor comfort of hospitalized patients.
• Ensure hospital cleanliness and instrument sanitation.
