Job summary

Best Friends Animal Society in Los Angeles is seeking an Adoptions/Outcomes Specialist to connect pets with loving families. You will deliver outstanding customer service to visitors and build lasting relationships to support the lifesaving mission.

Responsibilities include matching adopters, assisting with medical/behavior information, supporting events and social media content, and collaborating across teams to improve processes while maintaining a welcoming environment at the Lifesaving

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering high levels of customer service to visitors.
• Willingness to learn and/or prior animal welfare exposure preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities preferred.
• Ability to match adopters with animals and provide medical/behavior information.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and coordinate animal placements by matching adopters with animals and providing medical/behavior information.
• Gather information to match adopters with suitable animals and arrange introductions.
• Create a welcoming environment to enhance visitor satisfaction and support the lifesaving mission.
• Assist with content for social media and coordinate with departments to support outreach.
• Assist with basic animal care tasks as needed and uphold safety standards.
• Collaborate across teams to improve processes and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a safe workplace and report unsafe conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
