Job summary

Humane Colorado’s Buddy Center in Castle Rock seeks a compassionate team member focused on animal welfare and exceptional patron service. You will assist in relinquishment, medical care, and intake processes, ensuring humane treatment and accurate records in Chameleon.

You’ll work full-time with evenings, weekends, and some holidays, providing vaccinations, end-of-life care, and collaboration across departments to support shelter animals.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently following procedures and protocols.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet timelines in a dynamic environment.
• High level of personal responsibility, attention to detail, and punctuality.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for a fast-paced animal welfare setting.
• Experience with team collaboration and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level customer service to patrons.
• Provide daily animal relinquishment, stray, and evaluation services.
• Provide end-of-life care for animals at owner’s request.
• Interview patrons to gather information to create animal records in Chameleon database.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure care of shelter animals.
• Administer vaccinations and medications; handle animals safely.
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain clean, safe areas.
