Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a field termite technician to identify termite problems, assess behaviors, and determine remedial steps. You will perform safe treatment according to guidelines and communicate findings to customers.

The role requires climbing capabilities, outdoor work in varying weather, and strong attention to detail. Valid license and customer service experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • 1+ year of customer service experience.
  • Termite control experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather and climb structures.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customers' termite problems and assess termite behaviors and habits.
  • Determine appropriate remedial steps.
  • Perform termite treatment services safely according to company guidelines and standard practices.
  • Apply anti-termite treatments according to schedules, safety procedures, and label instructions.
  • Communicate conditions conducive to termite activity.
  • Discuss procedures and structural modifications supplemental to treatment.
  • Verify job specifications for each work order.
  • Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete production forms documenting services provided.
  • Interact with customers and explain services provided.
  • Prepare job sites for treatment.
  • Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb structures, stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
  • Perform frequent sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling

Job description

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license from state of residence
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • Termite control experience is a plus
  • Clean-shaven face for respirator seal safety
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations; covered by the company
  • Basic math skills, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to follow product-label mixing instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to tolerate seasonal weather, damp and dusty locations
  • Ability to work on roofs and high areas, including 20 feet up on a ladder
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and narrow aisles or passageways
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
  • General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter, or attic experience is a plus
